Sunday, November 29th, 2009

Theft Location: 400 Block of Alviso St.
A guest left his laptop computer at an apartment where he was attending a party. When he returned for the computer, it was not there.

Monday, November 30th, 2009

Forgery Location: 1700 Block of Wyatt Dr.
A woman had checks for a new bank account sent to her workplace in the mail. Shortly thereafter, she was notified that the account was overdrawn. She discovered that three checks had been stolen after they arrived. An investigation is ongoing.

Drugs – Under the Influence Location: 3400 Block of Crystal Dr.
An officer found a couple arguing in the street. He determined that both were under the influence of methamphetamine and one was in possession of a methamphetamine pipe. Both were on active parole and arrested.

Terrorist Threats Location: 1700 Block of Halford
A woman called to report the location of a subject who was being sought by police. The suspect was located and arrested.

Warrant Arrest Location: 600 Block of Clara Vista
Officer Garces made contact with an individual who had been going door to door selling cleaning products. The suspect initially gave a false name, but was found to have a parole violation from Texas. Texas was willing to extradite so the man was arrested.

Domestic Violence Location: 3700 Block of Poinciana
Officers Schneider and Otico responded to the report of a domestic violence incident. The officers met the female then made contact with the male. The male had numerous bites, scratches and lacerations on his person. The female was arrested.

Assault & Battery Location: 2800 Block of Mark Ave.
The victim called the Police Department to report that her brother, who was currently on parole, had assaulted her and their mother. Officers investigated and arrested the brother.

Tuesday, December 1st, 2009

Arson Location: 1600 Block of Hope Dr.
An apartment maintenance crew responded to a fire alarm at an apartment. They found one candle had burned down to the carpet and another candle inside a closet had set the closet rod on fire. This caused the sprinklers to activate and the Fire Department responded. The occupant could not be located and an investigation is ongoing.

Wednesday, December 2nd, 2009

Burglary Location: 700 Block of Laurie
A citizen called to report seeing three men knock on the door of a residence and two of them jumping the fence when no one answered. When officers arrived, the suspects fled in a vehicle. The citizen supplied officers with the license plate information and clothing descriptions. The suspects were located and arrested.

Robbery Location: 2200 Block of The Alameda
A college-age pedestrian was stopped by two males who asked if he was a student. They demanded his property. The victim handed over his backpack and the suspects fled on foot.

Drug Arrest Location: 40 Block of Saratoga Ave.
While on Patrol., Officer Garcia stopped a man who was in possession of drugs. The man was arrested and booked into County Jail.

Friday, December 4th, 2009

Vandalism Location: Lewis St. & Monroe St.
A citizen reported seeing two men writing graffiti on the sidewalk and an electrical box. When officers arrived they located the men and their markers were found nearby. The men were arrested, cited and released.

Felony Warrant Location: Pomeroy & El Camino Real
Officer Lutz stopped a vehicle for a violation and found that the driver had a felony warrant. The suspect was arrested.

Saturday, December 5th, 2009

Vandalism Location: 2400 Block of The Alameda
The front window of a sandwich shop was smashed, but nothing appeared to have been taken.

Grand Theft Location: 700 Block of San Miguel Ave.
The victim allowed a new acquaintance to spend the night at his residence. The victim went to work the next day, while the acquaintance continued to sleep. The victim returned home to find the acquaintance and his laptop gone. An investigation is ongoing.
